Zone of Resurrection is a vibrant Church in Bexleyheath with an open door policy. We are a kingdom community for all nations irrespective of race, colour, gender, creed or orientation. We are a people and place of God’s presence. Our common bond is a faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
Zone of Resurrection is a part of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). RCCG is a worldwide ministry that was born in 1952, destined by the Lord Himself to take the Good News to the uttermost part of the world. RCCG has about 14,000 branches in 110 countries. God has been doing miraculous deeds through the RCCG worldwide under the leadership of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. There are about 390 RCCG churches in Britain alone. The RCCG-UK organises The Festival of Life; one of the largest religious gatherings in Europe.
It is upon this covenant that the Redeemed Christian Church of God was born and built. The Redeemed Christian Church of God was founded on the tripod of prayer, holiness and evangelism.
Rev Akindayomi went to be with the Lord in 1980 at the age of 71. The leadership of the church was assumed by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who is still the current General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Today he is widely acknowledged as a spiritual leader to not only millions within the RCCG, but in other parts of Christendom.
Since its inception, RCCG has experienced an explosive growth in 140 countries around the world
We aim to be a church where everyone matters, from the oldest to the youngest; and where everyone has something to contribute.
Presently, we are modest in number and consider this to be a strength; it is easier to foster those authentic and enduring relationships. Through our lifestyle, teaching and worship, we are establishing a habitation of God.
About Bible: We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. We believe that the entire scripture, both Old and New testaments are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. 2 Timothy 3:16.
About God: As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, who is the Creator of both visible and invisible creatures – Colossians 1:16.
About Jesus Christ: We believe that He is the Son of God. We believe that He Son, who was crucified for the sins of all mankind and rose on the third day to sit at the right hand of God the Father.
About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the comforter and teacher of all things and comes to dwell in us at the new birth. We believe in the baptism of the Holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
About the Trinity: The egg is comprised of three parts: The yellow yolk, the whitish part, and the shell. Despite these three (3) substances, the egg is not three but one. Likewise, we believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are one God, but made of three persons – hence they are ONE IN TRINITY – Gen. 1:16-29; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 18:19.
About Water Baptism: We believe in water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
About Holiness: Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. we believe that in Christ Jesus, we have the power to live above sin.
About Repentance, Salvation or New Birth: We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and the wages of sin is death and that God so loved the world that He gave us His only son, Jesus, that whosoever believes in Him will be forgiven, cleansed and receive the gift of eternal life.
About Divine Healing (Without medicine): We believe in divine healing, the restoration of health, without medicine, to the one who believes and acts out God’s word, and that Jesus is the Healer. Healing without medicine is of the Gospel – Matt. 9:35; Mark 6:10-18. The Lord commanded us to go into the world, not just to teach the nations alone, but that we should also heal the sick – Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 10:1, Mark 16:15-18.
Tithe & Offering: We believe in tithing and bringing offerings into the local church. We also believe in giving alms, caring for the poor, sick, homeless and less privileged.
Holy Matrimony: Marriage is honourable and is ordained by God. “Therefore will a man leave his family and cleave to his wife and they shall be one flesh and no one should put asunder what God has joined together” – Genesis 2:24. We believe that Holy Matrimony is for life and can only be between a man and a woman.
The Second Coming of Christ: We believe in the Second coming of Jesus Christ. At His return, those who have received new life in Christ (born-again) will be raptured to meet Him in the sky.
